A surcharge applies for non-BBH members. Cards may be purchased for $45 at our hostel (this includes a $20 phone card). There are over 350 hostels around NZ who are members of BBH. To purchase a BBH card before you come to NZ please do so online at www.bbh.co.nz

As of 1 November 2010, the price of a double or twin room (shared facilities) will rise by $1 per person per night and the price of a share bed will rise by $1 per person per night

Our office is closed between 1.30pm and 3.30pm daily. You are welcome to check in before or after this time (the office is open up til 9pm but if you want a late check in this is also possible).

Sequoia Lodge Backpackers is about 8 minutes walk from the Picton ferry terminal & town - close but far enough away to avoid the noise of the Port and the trains. It overlooks Nelson Square - just for the sequoia tree across the road when you are coming from either directions.

Coming from the Ferry
Follow signs to State Highway 1 & Christchurch. You will come to Nelson Square and you just need to drive around it until you are heading back into town and you will see us on the corner. We are about 3 mins drive from the Ferry.

Coming in on SH1 - you hit Nelson Square and if you drove straight ahead instead of going around the Square to you right you would drive right in.

•	Free luggage storage - feel free to leave your excess luggage whilst exploring the Queen Charlotte Track.
•	Free bike storage and free bikes to cruise to the beach or up the river.
•	Free off-street parking. Free Pick ups and Drop Offs - from the ferry terminal, bus and rail stations.
•	Free tea, coffee and sugar. Free seasonings and spices.
	Informative local advice and a full booking service.
	Cancellation Policy If you are not able to come and stay on the dates you book then please let us know at least 24 hours prior and there is no cancellation fee. If you don't let us know 24hrs prior or just don't show up then you will be charged for the full amount of the first night booked. We will just deduct this from your credit card. If the reservation is made within 24 hours of the scheduled arrival date but you cancel before 2pm on the arrival date then there will be no cancellation fee. If it is after 2pm then we will try to refill the bed but if we can't then you will be charged the full amount for that night. If you have prepaid one night's accommodation as a deposit, you will lose this if you do not cancel at least 24 hrs prior to your arrival date. Note: We have a separate cancellation policy for groups.
